The Poti miru v Posočju Foundation will mark the important anniversaries of the Isonzo Battles between 1915 and 1917 by publishing the monographs Mangore and Cvetje (Tolminsko mostišče). The author, Lovro Galić from Zagreb, Croatia, is an expert on the Isonzo Front. The publications will detail wartime events, from the defensive preparations for the Empire’s western border, up to the breakthrough Battle of Caporetto (Kobarid), also known as the 12th Battle of Isonzo. The extensive Mangore monograph is based on war reports obtained from the Austrian State Military Archives in Vienna.
